Tarot card reading is considered to be the most precise form of psychic reading; mostly, because one can make a little bit of prediction just by thoroughly knowing the meaning of each card. However, if you possess intuition and the Inner Eye, nothing can stop you from making accurate readings. It can unfold great revelations about your past, present and future, and give you a new insight into your life.
There are primarily two ways of reading Tarot cards. The first is the easier way of just memorizing the meanings of all the cards from the handbook that comes with the set. It gives you an easy start if you want to begin as soon as possible.
The second method is the more difficult one, where you have to use your intuition along with your knowledge of the cards. Nailing this is the most difficult part, and that is exactly what you will learn today in this article.
To get started, all you need are a deck of Tarot cards, a pen, a writing pad, and most importantly, your intuition and psychic abilities. You don’t have to have a clear idea about the meaning of every card. If you can tap into your true abilities, you will be able to make predictions without the help of the handbook.
STEP 1: Relaxing yourself
First and foremost, you have to make sure that your mind is calm and clear. You have to relax and let go of all your worries and make your body and mind pure. You can achieve this by breathing in and out deeply and evenly. Make yourself as comfortable as possible, and imagine that you are breathing in all the freshness of the nature, and breathing out all the worries and problems from your body.
You can also relax your body and make it warm and comfortable using this technique. If there is tension or a knot in any part of your body, breathe into that area and imagine that you are exhaling all that tension out of your body.
Another exercise that you can try is the concentration enhancing technique. Simply imagine that there is a small dot at the center of your mind and concentrate hard on that dot, till every other thought is driven from your body. Soon enough, if you do it correctly, you will find yourself calm, and will be able to hear the gentle whispers of your intuition. A soft and soothing music in the background may also help.
Once you have reached the calm that your mind needs for heightened intuition and psychic abilities, you will be ready for the next step of Tarot card reading.
STEP 2: Clearing your Tarot deck
This is the next important step to successful Tarot card reading. After you have reached the required state of mind and body, the cards in front of you need to be reshuffled properly to rid them of the previous energies and make them start afresh. It is done to remove the energies that were leftover from the last time the deck was used.
You also need to mentally connect with the cards to give your intuition an idea of them. Simply hold the deck in your hands, close your eyes, and breathe in and out heavily upon the cards. This lets the energy of your body travel into the cards through your hands and breath, giving you the mental connect you need.
You can repeat the shuffling and breathing a number of times to make sure that you are truly in sync with the cards. Once you know that you are, you will be ready to begin the actual reading.

STEP 3: Asking the question
This is a tiny part that you need to perform to get started. You have to know what question to ask, and that question has to reach the deck. After the shuffling and the breathing, again close your eyes and silently ask the question in your mind, slowly and clearly. You can repeat it a few times, to let the energy seep into the cards through your hands.
If you don’t have a set question in mind, you can ask any random question related to the reading. Begin with the simplest questions, which are clear and to the point, so that the reading goes on without any confusion. When you think you are more confident, you can move on to the more difficult, vague questions.
STEP 4: Cutting the deck
The proper cutting of the deck is vital to your entire session. If you do it incorrectly, everything that happens from this point onwards is basically futile. After all, half of accurate Tarot card reading depends on the way you cut the deck.
First place your deck in front of you on the table. Then, using your left hand only, divide the deck into two approximately equal parts, and place the top part on the left side of the bottom half. From these decks of cards, you have to begin by choosing and turning the card that is on the top of the right hand side pile.
STEP 5: The reading
From here on, you will be needing your writing pad and a pen. Whatever you infer from the cards, jot them down quickly to make a note of them. This will help you connect all the readings and make an accurate prediction, especially if you are a beginner. You also have to be alert and calm at the same time from this point onwards.
The feeling, thought or reaction that you experienced when you turned over the first card is immensely important, so make a note of that. This is because at this point, our mind is completely unprepared for what is to come, and hence our ego hasn’t yet got a chance to play a role, making our mind purely intuitive.
When you look at the card, you might feel something in your body. It can be anything, from goose bumps to a tingly stomach to tightness of the heart to shivering. This feeling is caused by your intuition trying to communicate with you, so pay proper attention to what you feel. Also, don’t forget to say out loud the name of the card. This helps clear out multiple pathways in our mind and reveals new wavelengths which can lead us to more information.
As you look at the card, notice its color. Does it have only one color or a mixture of colors? Which color is more dominant in the card? How do you feel about that color? Ask yourself these questions and write down the answers as you go, without losing your focus or your calm. Also, notice the characters of the card and what they are doing. Is there a human or an animal? A group, maybe? Are they moving, talking, fighting or dancing? Write down everything you gather from these questions.
Your imagination also plays an active part at this point. You have to not only ask yourself questions, but also imagine certain things to make the reading more reliable. For instance, imagine yourself jumping into the card and having a conversation with the characters in it. What do you think they would say to you? Would the conversation go well? Would you fight with them? Why? These simple, basic questions can reveal newer information that you never gathered before this point.
Tarot cards not only have colors and characters, but also many visible, and sometimes hidden, symbols. Analyzing and meditating on these symbols is important. So study carefully the card that you turned and invest some time into deciphering its symbols. Also ask yourself what those symbols mean to you and how important they are in your life. Never forget to stop writing whatever you gather from all this.

STEP 6: Closing the deck
When you think you have gathered enough information from your session and are ready to bring it to a close, simply hold up the entire deck in your hand and close your eyes, just like you did at the beginning. Inhale and exhale deeply and say a silent thank you in your mind for all its help and guidance.
Hold the deck in your hands for as long as you are comfortable, and then reshuffle it again and keep it away for the day. If you want, you can stay silent and still for a little while to let everything seep in, before getting back to your normal life.
Tarot card reading gets very interesting once you have mastered the various techniques. With the combined power of the individual meanings of the cards and your own intuition, you can reveal all the secrets of the world and change as many lives as you want. So keep practicing and honing your skills every day, and soon enough you will find yourself reaching the ultimate stage of positive intuition and Tarot reading skills.
